Season 1-6 and Season 7-12
Season 1-6 is a series of collages. The top part of each collage is a stripped book cover from an early 19th century hardcover book. They all contain a nice blue coloured fragile underlayer and bookbinder twine. The lower part of each collage is also a book cover with traces of use and some added bookrelated details. As a series they show the viewer a range of 6 different season/weather conditions.
Framed size: 27,3cm x 21cm
Impressions is a series of woodblock and leatherblock experimental printings. They are inspired by nature during the four seasons and the great variations of colours. These works may look abstract but they also refer to landscapes. It’s a balance between abstraction and figuration. The prints are composed by multiple coloured layers.
I’m still working on more of these prints. They will show up soon on this page
Framed size: 62,5cm x 48,5cm
In Between / site-specific work / Multiversum Mortsel
‘In Between’ is a site-specific work. More information is available in dutch.’
A series of photographic experiments on early twentieth century photographic paper. The use of this expired paper often results in unpredictable images. It is always exciting to see the image appear by manipulating the paper as well as the developer and the fix.
Frame size: 30cm x 40cm
Edges is a series of woodcuts. They are no part of a numbered edition, they are all unique pieces. The layered printing is different for all of the images. The images refer to landscapes as well to bookcovers.
Woodcut size: 6cm x 10cm Frame size: 39,5cm x 49,5cm
6 columns made of old plastic flower vases. The form as well as the colour refers to the columns in ancient cultures. The variety of tones can be compared to those of marble and ivory. There is no suggestion of the scale of the colums. They can be small (table models) but also huge as a building. Photographing them with different lights changes the atmosphere and the dramatic experience.
Frame size: 9,5cm x 30cm
The Colour Fields is a series of collages mainly made of old book covers added with bookrelated details.
‘Spring’ is a woodcut/linocut composed with 8 layers. It was made for the occasion of an event dedicated to the spring season. It has been printed in an edition of 25.

A series of small, analogue photographs depicting hypothetical persons. The are composed out of old studio negatives layered above each other. One can recognize a man, a woman or a child. There are no more specific characteristics. It’ s up to the viewer to create his or her story.

Dots/depht is a series of photographic experiments on early twentieth century photographic paper. The combination of expired paper and the manipulation of the developer and the fix results in unexpected images. I prepared the multiple patterns of dots with various materials.

A series of digital prints started from pellicule ends. These ends don’t contain real captured images. When scanned, these ends are really exciting. By digitilising them, it’ s possible to use them positif as well as negatif. So I create compositions with subtle colours and contrast. The viewer can make up his own story.
